Some of the information of
this overdub session is in contradiction with observations and other information and therefore probably inaccurate. First,
assuming note saying "January 22, 12 A.M. - 07 A.M." actually means January 23, 12
A.M. - 07 A.M., this time coincides with the recording of I'll Be
There and Suspicious Minds. That wouldn't be so strange if
these overdubs were Reggie and Bobby only, but it actually would mean that 6 brass players entered the studio after midnight, that everybody
else, including Elvis, stopped what they were doing while two songs
were being overdubbed - then the brass players leave while Reggie and
Bobby stays. Neither is it likely that such an overdub was
done in another room during this time, since Reggie and Bobby appears
on I'll Be There and Suspicious Minds as well. |
